I don’t know what it’s called. I had severe cataracts and was almost blind. I couldn’t see the elements. No sunset, no moon, no sky…nothing. All I could see was brown and dull yellow hazy blobs. I could see nothing at all in my right eye. Anything that I could register came out of the left (from about a foot away).

When I went in to be tested, this is one of the machines they used. I couldn’t really see what it was. I took a picture with my phone. It wasn’t until I had the cataracts removed and toric lens implants that I was able to see it. First on my phone and then later, in person, when I went for checkups.

It was the first thing I came in contact with when I started on the road to restoring my sight. I can now see the world.
