Unfurl

Unfurled, and then whirled in the vast open wind

The flag of embarrassment, lost in chagrin

Crumples in pity and it’s own self-doubt

Convinced it’s faux pas is the talk of the town

It folds itself back into furl and it sits

Hoping that one day the whole world forgets
